Our school age program is available for children aged 4 to 12. We include kindergarten-aged children (aged 4 to 6) in our school age program as part of the 25% mix permitted by the Ministry of Education.
The staff-to-child ratio for school-aged children is 1 staff member to every 15 children. We are licensed for a maximum of 15 school-aged children.
Our school age program at our Georgina Avenue site is currently only able to accept children from St. Ann school.
The unique individual needs of the school-aged child will be met in an informal, relaxed learning environment in which each child can make activity choices within a recreational atmosphere. The educator will provide stimulating, challenging, and fun experiences through creative art, science and exploration, language, and physical activities. These activities intertwine with the Indigenous culture, promoting identity, language, and culture retention for the children.
Our school age program shares a room with the Native Language class.
